Meet Penny
We want to share the inspiring story of Penny, a brave, beautiful 5-year-old pup who recently came to us in a critical condition with an open pyometra. Her dad, a retired Marine, relies on Penny as his PTSD support dog. Faced with financial constraints and turned away by other hospitals, he was told to consider the unthinkable—to put Penny down. But here at Pennsauken Animal Hospital, we couldn't stand by without helping.
Thanks to the incredible support from Helping Paws, we were able to bridge the financial gap and perform the life-saving surgery Penny desperately needed. We are thrilled to announce that Penny has made a beautiful recovery and is now back home, getting all the love and care she deserves from her devoted family.
This is what we're all about—supporting those who need it most, especially the heroes in our community who have given so much. We are honored to have played a part in keeping this family together and ensuring that Penny continues to bring comfort and joy to her dad.
