About the event
The speaker is Caroline Garzotto, VMD, DACVS
New guidelines provided by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association calls for a paradigm shift in considering options for spaying and neutering our dogs and cats.
It is essential that pet owners, shelters and rescues understand all the options and implications of spaying and neutering. We hope to open this discussion and clarify potential misconceptions about the procedures and also discuss health concerns we are seeing in pets that are spayed or neutered before they are full grown.
We also want to address some potential problems we see with brachycephalic breeds, particularly the more popular French and English bulldogs.
