A Bit About Me

Growing up in New Jersey, Dr. Witt (featured with a client pet Pixie) knew he wanted a way to work with animals, help people, and be in science. And veterinary medicine was it! Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Witt worked at animal shelters, specialty hospitals and on a farm during his time at Rutgers.

Dr. Witt is now working as our Head of Surgery. He said "Seeing a pet that was suffering prior to my intervention and then being able to send that pet home happier, healthy, comfortable, and still with us", as being the most rewarding aspects of working as a veterinarian.

He attended undergrad at Rutgers University and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Animal Science, he graduated Summa Cum Lauda, and with an award for top 10% academic standing. Dr. Witt then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019. Additionally, he graduated Magna Cum Lauda and as Opportunity Scholar which is only given to 6 students each class.

Dr. Witt is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association (PVMA).

Dr. Witt has a domestic short hair named Kiwi and enjoys cycling, bouldering, hiking, traveling and trying new foods!

" I really liked Dr. Witt. He explained everything after the surgery and when we came to pick Penny up, Dr. Witt came out to answer a few questions that I had. After the first day, Penny didn't act like she had surgery. Her incision looks great and she hasn't bothered it at all. I hope Dr. Witt stays for a long time at Pennsauken. "
