A Bit About Me

Dr. Wendy Turner was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2002. Dr. Turner was inspired to follow her childhood dream of being a veterinarian after a treasured cat of hers passed away. Her professional interests as a veterinarian include feline medicine and surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, general surgery, and preventive health and wellness. She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, American Association of Feline Practitioners, American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She is Fear Free certified and is also a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian.

Dr. Turner joined Pennsauken Animal Hospital in September of 2021 as a Veterinarian and the General Practice Coordinator. She finds all of her work to be satisfying, but "being able to build and develop a relationship with clients and patients so that we can collaborate as a team to maximize health and increase quality of life and longevity” means the most to her.

Dr. Wendy Turner loves being active in the community, volunteering to help the homeless, women’s issues, political campaigns, and education. She is currently on the Board of Friends of the Arts in Mountain Lakes, NJ. She has lived in New Jersey since 2003. Dr. Turner has also been a long-distance runner for 25 years, participating in 7 marathons and 40+ half marathons. She also enjoys cooking, traveling, reading, writing, art, movies, live shows and comedy.

At home, Dr. Turner has a young adult son along with several pets! Her clan includes a pair of brother and sister cats, Merry and Pippin, 2 Abyssinians named Hermes and Leda, and an elderly gentleman dog named Miles who is retired from his job as her running partner!

I just want to thank the great staff at your facility. Special thanks to DR Turner. I have been to several different places and she outshines everyone. It is very reassuring working with a veterinarian that is very thorough. I have a working dog and she understands his job and his needs. No other vet has understood this. She quickly diagnosed his leg problem and gave me a plan to recovery. "
