A Bit About Me
Dr. Odgers is from Pennsylvania and recalls that there has never been a time in her life that she didn’t want to be a veterinarian. She grew up in a household full of pets from cats and dogs to chinchillas and rats. "Animals have always been my life and I have a real love of science and medicine." Dr. Odgers volunteered at a cat shelter in high school and in college, started to work at a veterinary hospital. First in the kennel then was trained on the job to be a veterinary technician. She worked at several other veterinary hospitals as a technician up until graduation from veterinary school.
Dr. Odgers went to the Ursinus College for her undergrad and then went on to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Odgers also has a master’s degree from Drexel University in Laboratory Animal Sciences. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Animal Hospital Association. Dr. Odgers has completed certifications in Abdominal Ultrasound and Cardiac Ultrasound through Sound’s Academy of Veterinary Imaging.
Dr. Odgers loves forming relationships with people and their pets. "Veterinarians are lucky to have the privilege of seeing people on some of their best days and their worst days. It is an honor to help families to make the best decisions for their pets during those wonderful days and those sad days." Her professional interests are Ultrasound (abdominal and cardiac), Internal Medicine, Preventative Care, Dentistry and Surgery.
In her personal time, Dr. Odgers enjoys cooking and baking, travel, quilting, and visiting zoos and aquariums with her husband and three children. She has a cavalier king charles spaniel puppy named Smores and 2 guinea pigs, Bingo and Bluey.
