A Bit About Me
Growing up in Moorestown, NJ, next to a veterinarian helped shape Dr. Mitchell’s drive to become a veterinarian. Working as a veterinary technician in a small animal practice in Cherry Hill, confirmed her decision to become a small animal veterinarian.
Dr. Mitchell (featured with Helping Paws' Evangeline), now working as a medical director, cites connecting with owners, forging long-lasting relationships with clients and their pets, and making people’s and pets’ day-to-day lives easier through client education, as being the most rewarding aspects of working as a veterinarian.
She attended undergrad at Gettysburg College and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Environmental Science. Dr. Mitchell then graduated from the University of Glasgow of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Additionally, she is a member of the AVMA, Fear Free certified, and her professional interests include shelter medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and preventive medicine.
Dr. Mitchell has three cats – Mr. Harry, Spencer, and Tiger, but that’s not all! She also has one dog, named Elliot, who apparently thinks he’s a toddler.
She spends her free time running around with her two young kids, reading, and doing anything and everything related to the beach and the ocean.
